It acted like the standard dictionary didn't have any entries. My most common words are no longer underlined, and I add to its vocabulary daily, so I'm seeing a lot fewer red squiggles. Therefore I wonder whether there's a problem with installing the standard dictionary file. I don't know how to check that.
