Within the package installation files is a folder called “Java” with a file inside it called “jre-6u4-windows-i586-p”. I also have Secunia PSI (RC3) on my computer. This program tells me whether I have any insecure or end-of-life programs on my computer. After the OO download I scanned with Secunia, which found that I have Sun Java JRE 1.6.x/ 6.x as an insecure program which could potentially expose my system as security threat. It suggests uninstalling the program. What I want to know is, is Java JRE 1.6.x/ 6.x, the same as the downloaded Java jre-6u4-windows-i586-p. that came with the OO package? If it is, then is there a patch available? When I looked in 'add/remove programs', I noticed that there are 2 Java programs on my computer- 1.Java(TM) 6 update 4 2.Java (TM) 6 update 7. Which one can I safely uninstall and which is the rquired Java jre-6u4-windows- i586-p. I am very confused. I hope you can help as I do not want my computer exposed to any security loopholes.
