User bobthehamster changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ CC|'' |'bobthehamster' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 23 18:00:29 +0000 2008 ------- I know what Jason is asking for here. The "Shrink to Fit" feature is very important for short letters a memos, and its absence from OpenOffice.org Writer is one of the blockers preventing my employer from migrating from MS Office to OOo. Here is the usage case: You write a short memo. It overflows to a second page just slightly, maybe by one or two lines. In Microsoft Office (and presumable also this "ResumeMaker" that Jason mentioned) you go to "Print Preview" and you will find a button labeled "Shrink to Fit" The shrink to fit button reduces the font sizes in the document until the total page count has been reduced by 1. A Macro that simulates this feature in OOo Writer has been written by Ian Laurenson, and can be found at http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/hillview/OOo/ under the heading ShrinkToFit.sxw Unfortunately my first attempt to test Ian's macro has failed, but I might be doing something wrong. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
