You are quite right: 1) The observed behaviour is not what would be expected with that box ticked, as it does not print the selected page when specified. 2) I can get satisfactory printing results by unticking that box. However, I understand that, since 2.0, that box is ticked by default, so, some users would be experiencing frustration.
