Sorry, I forgot to mention: 

XP Pro SP 3 with all patches, OOo300m8.

As André Schnabel mentioned in his mail of 26 Sep 2008 21:29:23 +0200 in
[EMAIL PROTECTED], the error can be reproduced. After writing the file as "odf"
(he probably meant ods) it can be stored as dBase file. 

But when I save as ods, open the ods file again and try to save it as a dBase
file, I get the error and the message.
