Under 2.x this always appeared to work, reliable. With v3 RC3 today I suddenly got that screen despite quitting OO normally. What caught my attention especially, was, that the last text document in the last wasn't recovered. At the next start of OO this document was presented to be to need recovery. It seems the mechanism to recognise crashed documents, isn't OK any more (or those files don't get properly closed ... maybe).
