SBA: This is not a defect, but a Feature. At this point, it makes no difference,
if this is to be solved
 - as an extension
 - as a built-in new feature
 - or as a variation of the existing WordCompletion feature.

I therefore adjust the summary. Old summary: "An extention to autocompete with
dictionnary language dependent"

My personal view is that the "AutoComplete EVERYTHING I type" makes sense for
the "limited keyboard" a regular mobile phone has (10 keys).

On a "serious" Computer keyboard (some mobile phones even feature them,
guess-why :-), the completion of long words makes sense to save time.

But an "all-time-present" AutoCompletion box while editing a document is
something that I regard as highly irritating. I imagine typing "un" - resulting
in about 500 proposals. I see "500" and decide - OK, I will not scroll, but type
another letter. i type "c" and get only 85 proposals for "unc". Then I will
decide to write a fourth and fifth letter. And look again. This does not speed
up writing text because the user will have to decide "scroll or type" all the
time.

This might apply for me because I am from the "typewriter" generation (I even
studied to type "10 fingers blindly"). This means i am not from the current
so-called "thumb generation" that gains years of "text editing experience" with
mobile phones, typing with one thumb only.

But to have the same "feel" when using OOo compared to typing on a mobile phone
might well be a gain for "the next generation". So I confirm this Feature.

As a WORKAROUND, one may stress the implemented WordCompletion feature: Set the
WordCompletion minimal word length to 5 (current minimum) and the number of
words to 10000 (current maximum). When starting the office, "load a custom
dictionary". This would be a file that contains a personal selection of
"likely-to-be-used" words of 5 or more letters. Now WordCompletion makes
proposals after the third typed letter of every word. In addition to that, one
can use the AutoText feature in a way that the favorite "4-letters-or-shorter"
words can get triggered with one or two letters plus the "<F3> key.
