------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 9 14:36:18 +0000 2008 ------- The Paste and paste special menu selections (under Edit in main menu) are disabled even though the clipboard has appropriate contents. This has been a problem for many versions and seems so basic. One can hit Ctrl-V, and get the text pasted into the document, but that does not help when the clipboard contains formatted material than needs a paste special (plain text), as when copying from an email from another program, or a browser's web page. Here's how to reproduce the problem: Open Writer with a document. Note that the Edit->Past/paste menu selection is not active. go to another program, i.e., a web page in a browser will do select and copy some text switch back to Writer--menu selections for pasting still not active. so one cannot paste except with Ctrl V, which does copy the formatting into the Document. This program must check the clipboard when it gets focus and activate these selections --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
