In ooo 2.x timeframe, there was only one location, in which the complete major.minor.micro was transferred to the Office. This was the "ooSetupVersionAboutBox" in the "setup.xcu". The user should not be able to differ between OOo 2.0.0 and OOo 2.0.1, except this one string that was displayed in the AboutBox. So this is probably also the correct string in OOo 3.x timeframe. Today the setup.xcu is located in the Brand layer. (AK told, that it is not necessary, that a new micro is displayed, if only the Basis and the URE layer were updated. This string is only required for marketing reasons.
