While I realize there should not be any updates for 3.0 yet, I did not expect to
get the following error:

Status
Checking for Update Failed

Description
Could not establish Internet connection to update30.services.openoffice.org.

The HELP tells me to set a proxy.  The default is to use system settings.  Both
my I.E. and Firefox browsers, as well as my email, and adobe acrobat can access
the internet for updates.  I know of no proxy settings for any of them.  Why is
this not working?  Is there a way to get more information, such as trace what is
happening to debug this?
