The way we do it in Gentoo is to have all those paths going in the same directory (for historic reasons, which are not that easy to solve in the short term): --with-external-dict-dir=/usr/share/myspell --with-external-hyph-dir=/usr/share/myspell --with-external-thes-dir=/usr/share/myspell As it seems the problem is that the hyphen files are interpreted as dictionary files, if you move the hyphen files away, the crashes / freezes go away as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
