------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 26 12:10:38 +0000 2008 ------- Hi, The "Save Auto Recovery information every X minutes" allows office to save some information used to recover in the case of an unexpected termination. Yet a on a normal exit, such as the one which occurs when clicking "Discard changes" on closing the document, those recovery informations are not involved and discarded. Lots of users wrongly assumes that their document has been fully auto-saved every X minutes, thus may very much click "discard" on the last closing dialog (wrongly believing that they only discard the changes done since the last auto-"save"). In that case, many hours of work can be lost. Even the option "Always create backup copy" won't help. It should be crystal clear that this "auto recovery" options is NOT an autosave option. It should in fact either be moved to some "advanced" settings, or replaced/seconded by some system which fully save backup copy every X minutes. (an unambiguous status-bar message when those recovery infos are saved would be nice too) Thanks --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
