For the other canvas this probably can be done in a similar way. There are three reasons for not to fix this bug for OOo 3.0.1: 1. I don't regard this bug as severe enough. It is ugly, but it does not crash and there is no data loss. 2. The fix may have unexpected side effects and may lead to regression. 3. There is an easy workaround.
