------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 31 23:07:56 +0000 2008 ------- A text with lots of pages might contain a page, where images should stay absolute positioned (see example url). That means, changing text contens on this page should not change image position. An example is on the Website linked to this article. This can be done by having the anchors in the first text line like shown by the red lines. If I have no text on the page I can position images like this. Afterwards I fill in text and change the text however I like, images won't move. If I fill text on a previous page, the page jumps to the next, if the Title is done with the feature "page-breake before". And now the bug: If I move an image just one millimeter, the anchor jumps to the nearby text-break. There is no way to bring it back up to the top of the page. If I change the text of the page now, the image starts moving. There is no way anymore to come to the right behavior the page had before! So, what is necessary for the user? He needs a possibility to move images without moving the anchor! Then this bug can not happen. If I fill an image to a text, I set the text-coursor to the position, where the anchor should be. I do this by using my brain. I don't want the program to change this position, when I move the image! So how should the programm behave? It just has to add the coordinates the image gets moved to the coordinates of the image. "Coordinates the image gets moved" means: The coordinates after the motion related to the coordinates before the motion. Then the anchor can keep its place. The user of the programm just sees, that the image moves without the anchor. So if he wants to move the anchor, he will click on it and move it. Everybody will be satisfied with this solution. But ask what people say right now: They hate image positioning because they loose control. The programms sets the place of the anchor if you move an image. And after moving more than tree images, you forget where all the anchors went. If you fill in new text now, you can not even imagine where your images will jump.
