------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 5 06:41:03 +0000 2008 ------- Launch OpenOffice. Select Writer Begin Typing. If a spelling error is made and auto check is on the following error comes up: "Alert: Couldn't contact Spell Checker" If you click on the "OK" button, the error will just keep coming back. The only way out is to force quit. option + apple + esc It appears to be attached to the Mac OS X Spell Checker. If that is not checked the spell check works. But keeping the Mac OS X Spell Checker unchecked in the preferences doesn't work. When you open the preferences it rechecks it and you have the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. This didn't fix it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
