Do the following to insert a new slide: - Select the layout by right-clicking on one of the slide layouts in the Layouts area - Select "Insert slide" - Now Impress adds a new slide but the slide layout is not the one I just selected. Instead, it has the same layout as the previous slide in my presentation. The layout selection of new slides used to work in versions 2.x (I tested 2.0.2, 2.0.3 and 2.4.1), so this would be a regression.
