I wish to confirm this issue. Moreover, it's a bug as far as I'm concerned. More
specifically: printing an .ods document from the context menu works fine,
printing an .xls document does not produce an item in the print queue.

>From the commandline (cmd.exe):
C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 3\program\scalc.exe" -p "C:\Temp\Testprint.ods
prints a document, whereas
C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 3\program\scalc.exe" -p "C:\Temp\Testprint.xls
does /not/
