User pl changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution| |WORKSFORME -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 14 15:19:30 +0000 2008 ------- I did not quite see what you mean for a while, however the difference seems clear now: the PostScript file you attached contains the fonts a Type 3 subsets instead of Type 42. This indicates that your printer driver (or rather what the PPD file your cups server returns does not tell us that your printer driver is capable of rendering TrueType fonts). A quick look at all the HP photosmart ppds (they can be found in /usr/share/ppd/hpijs/HP if the package hpijs-ppds is installed) shows that they indeed to do not report TrueType capabilities. So if your driver can indeed render TrueType fonts, its PPD file should reflect that. If you can find the correct PPD file used, then adding a line *TTRasterizer: Type42 would fix that. Of course the provider of said PPD file should actually add this line. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
