This is a very good question that perhaps can't be answered in a single issue
comment. I've planned to start a discussion about Writer/Web and the HTML
support in Writer in the next days and weeks. So please watch the appropriate
"channels" (GullFOSS, [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
For the time being we should close this issues as "wontfix". In the context of
Writer/Web it is a non-issue and without Writer/Web it is non-existant.
As an explanation to the submitter: for good reasons we distinguish between
formats we can "save" to and other we can only "export" to. The former require
that we also have an import filter into the same application as the user is
using currently. As we don't have an odt import for Writer/Web, this application
can only "export" to this format, not "save". OTOH we have both HTML import and
export filters for "Writer", so here it's a "save" operation.
