I tried, I REALLY TRIED everything I know, to install this thing, but it REFUSES
to complete the installation. It complains of one of the deb files as not being
installed AFTER I have already installed the deb file that it says it needs. I
even re-installed the file that it said it needed and it still complained that
the deb file that it depends on was NOT installed and it still refuses to
install.

This is clearly a BUG, as I have clicked on EVERY deb file in the tar.gz package
and some of them install fine but others refuse to install...claiming that I did
NOT install a deb file that I had just installed that is in the tar.gz package
for OpenOffice.org 3 [OOO300m9]. It simply will not install. It really is a
bug.

If it works fine under other Ubuntu versions, then why can't I get it to install
under this one? I have installed OpenOffice.org versions before with no problem
whatsoever for 4+ years but yet I cannot get this thing to install.

I have tried and tried and tried to install this thing, but it refuses to
install. I clicked on EVERY file in the tar.gz package and some installed fine
but the rest REFUSED to install, even though I clicked on ALL the files in the
package so as to install them and after installing the package it required, it
STILL said that the required package was NOT installed.

I used Synaptic to remove all of OpenOffice.org 2.4.1, and OpenOffice.org 3
STILL refused to install.

You figure it out. I have had to re-install OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 as it DOES
WORK, but OpenOffice.org 3 does NOT install, so I do NOT know if it will work.

How can you folks put such buggy software out and claim that it is an official
release when it does NOT work at all because it refuses to install?
