2008 -------
I recently updated my mac software to version 10.5.5. Immediately after the
update, I was unable to use
openoffice 2.3 or 2.4 that had previously been working fine. I would get the
message that the function
timed out, and it would just stall indefinitely from there.

I downloaded openoffice 3.0 a couple of days ago (m9) and was able to open a
spreadsheet. I have not
done much in the spreadsheet but it seems to work OK until I try to cut and
paste. If I highlight
something and drag it, it's basically like it's copying and pasting instead of
cutting and pasting. So if I
highlight a 16-cell area (4 rows and 4 columns) and move it down by two rows,
the first two rows stay
there and it will essentially copy over the bottom two rows. More importantly,
when I right-click cut, I
immediately freeze up and have to restart the application. The sections remain
highlighted and when I
click arrows to move to the cell I want to paste into, it does not move. When I
try to scroll, it says I'm
scrolling--on the right side by the up/down navigation it says the row I'm in
is changing but it's not
moving. I'm still stuck on the highlighted "cut" area and can't move. I cannot
go to different tabs either.

Thanks.
