When I use the MS filters (save the doc in XLS, it works), but when I tried to save the same document in ODS again back, the same IO Error is back. It seems to be memory corruption in the OpenDocument generation which doesn't impact the MS export filters. I open a case by Sun (number 37848006, opened since the 10th May 2007). As it's not easy to reproduce (quite impossible, there is not set of operation which leads to the problem), I have a document in my OpenOffice (OOO300m10 build:9362) running on my laptop. On Mac OS X, I could use dtrace to get infos for the developpers, if you have a script of what you need. I hope we could find a solution about this issues, as we have 700 users, and this seems to happen about 10 times a week, so the impact is quite bad.
