XMerge is shortly before EOL, therefore I won't invest time on this issue.
The only reason for me not to set it to deprecated is that there are some
filters still dependent to it.
WE NEED HELP:
To move the functionalty provided by XMerge to ODFDOM (possibly with extension
layer) provided by odftoolkit.org.
If this is done, we can exchange XMerge with ODFDOM.
