The non working major upgrade is no issue for 3.0.1 any longer because of the
fix for i96108. (3.0.1 will be installed as minor upgrade, which works well with
vista).
The major upgrade on vista has two problems: First, the remove part can not
remove the program folder for an unknown reason. This can be fixed with a hack (
a custom action, that removes the complete program folder before the
deinstallation part of the upgrade starts ). Second, the deinstallation
uninstalls the msvcr90 runtime but the new install doesn't reinstall the
runtime. No solution for this problem yet.
