The next version of Visual Studio may produce assemblies which reference assemblied from the latest .NET Framework. However, VS DOES NOT produce dependencies to v3 or .v3.5. You can check that yourself with ildasm. The assemblies reference mscorlib 2.0.5 and Microsoft.VisualC 8, which are both part of framework 2. Btw, CLI applications for OOo 2 will most probably not work with OOo 3. They need to be linked again with all the cli-uno assemblies. http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/ProUNO/CLI/CLI_Language_Binding Cli-UNO is broken in 3.0. You can get it to run when you modify the registry. This is fixed in 3.1.
