I think this issue is more serious than target milestone "OOo later" says. Scenario ppt -> odp by 2.4 -> odp by 3.0 is used very often by new OOo users. On other hand if this bug disappears in OOo 3.0.1 and reappears in OOo 3.1, that will give a bad user experience.
