@hennerdrewes: thanks for looking into this. The ValidateKashidas() method is 
called for both cases 
indeed: the unvocalized case it is called with pKashidaPos[]={1} (first Damma) 
and for the vocalized case 
with pKashidaPos[]={6} (second Damma).

On a first look the UniscribeLayout::IsKashidaPosValid() is really suspicious. 
On the other hand also the 
same problem exists on other platforms like UNX (with the fix for 85074), where 
ValidateKashidas() 
currently still always returns 0.
