First: this is not my area of expertise at all. This is either a problem of edit
engine or the text object - or none at all.

After discussion with KA i think this is what happens: clicking the second text
object selects it which would put it into the clipboard. When you paste you get
the clipboard content which at this time is the second text object. Since you
cannot insert a text object in an edit engine it inserts the next convertible
format, the text of the text object.

This behaviour is at least understandable. What probably should not happen is
that the selection within the first text object is still active. Also if code
were changed so that the assumed correct behaviour (text of first text object
gets copied into second text object), how would the user then be able to copy
the second text object if he wanted to ?

pl->cj: ka told me you should specify the correct behaviour and then pass this
issue to the respective application developer or close it at your discretion.
