Equipment. PC, 1.67 duo core processor, 1gb ram
Win XP home edition SP3 Japanese language version. OS since reinstalled and
downgraded to SP2 in case Win XP SP3 was the issue.
Open Office download version OOo_3.0.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US

I had cause to reboot my PC the other day with Open Office running due to a
printer issue. After the reboot, I got a blue screen error, which proceeded to
fix some OS errors. What they were, I cannot tell, because I didn't write it
down.

Following the reboot and OS fix, I attempted to reload Open office and continue
working on the documents I had open, which were a spreadsheet and a word
processor document.

I was confronted with the document recovery screen, which listed the 2 documents
I was working on. Nothing unusual, I had seen this screen previously after a
power outage and everything was OK that time.

I tried to recover the documents and ended up in an endless loop of document
recovery, crash, document recovery, crash.

I uninstalled Open Office, took a fresh download and reinstalled it OO. I re-ran
the software and was hit with an error report, which I submitted. ID #: rcv4qvc
and I think there may have been another one submitted today by the Techie
working on my PC, report ID #: rf288vc

The endless loop error continued, so I called in a techie to take a look at it
for me, because I am relying on OO to get my end of year spread-sheeting and
reporting completed.

He un-installed Open office and deleted the download file, reinstalled WIN XP,
SP2 because he said the Japanese version of SP3 was not as stable, took a fresh
download of OOo_3.0.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US and reinstalled it.

The error continued, so I took a movie of the process for your convenience and
have uploaded it to the URL specified above,
http://www.wcc500.com/openoffice/index.htm

OS and OO re-installations have not fixed the issue, so I am at a loss. I
couldn't find anything in the database about the issue. OO Software installed on
an old PC and is working fine on that machine. Please help if you can.
