I merge Writer documents with data from a Calc spreadsheet. I have a rather frequent (but not systematic) crash of OpenOffice 3.0, when performing this merge. An additional (and worrying) issue that the soffice.bin application refuses to quit (the OpenOffice application appears as active in the Dock, and some windows may remain open, but it is not operational), and even prevents my computer from shutting down properly.
