From a writer tool, I primarily expect it to let me write and save my progress, however that progress may look. If I want to choose from revisions and have the capability to revert stuff, I use SVN. I don't expect a word processor to ramp up versioning capabilities, how primitive they might every be. Seperation of Concerns please.
