The SRB issue is that it appears to be necessary to have the underlying query sorted in the same order as is required by the sorting/grouping window. This isn't documented, and is counter-intuitive. One question: does the setting of the "Analyse SQL" mean anything here - it doesn't seem to do anything! The other issue is that the queries weren't giving the correct results. i...@m reporting this separately, obviously. I'm attaching a simplified database. The requirement is the same, except that the first sort field is now called "RealCollation".
