------- Additional comments from hoser...@openoffice.org Fri Jan 16 05:35:26 +0000 2009 ------- OO Calc spreadsheet data can't be imported into Simply Accounting. This is a major accounting application. When trying to import an OO .xls spreadsheet into Simply Accounting, S/A blocks the data with the message that the OO data is not genuine Microsoft xls data. Simply Accounting is able to discern the difference between OO xls files and MS xls files. Simply Accounting is not interested in adjusting their data import component since they say that "Microsoft is the data standard". Can OO's xls file identity be fixed so that it can pass this type of filter? This same filter message also turns up on employment websites that ask for Word (doc) formatted resumes. I'm just interested in the Calc problem. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
