@marc: kohei is saying that your problem does not occur with the primary version
of openoffice.org, i.e. the software which can downloaded from openoffice.org.
Indeed, on my machine, =sum(2,2) returns #NAME?, but =sum(2;2) returns 4. OO
does not use comma as a delimiter since it conflicts with the decimal separator
in locales some locales, ie places where the decimal expansion of pi is written
3,14159265... This is confusing to people used to Excel, where comma is used as
a separator, so there's a patch, (which I think Kohei wrote), to make the
separator dependent on locale. You are presumably running a version of OO with
this patch applied. Your issue is valid, but only for the place where you got
your copy of OO, eg your distributor, if OO came with your Linux. You should
file this issue with them ("downstream") not here ("upstream"). HTH!
