------- Additional comments from hu...@openoffice.org Sun Jan 18 01:35:06 +0000 2009 ------- Given a file Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with values linked from external file(s), if the file is emailed and then opened with both Microsoft Excel (2008 for Mac) and OpenOffice.org (3.0), the following occurs: * Microsoft Excel for Mac sees that the cell values are linked and prompts you to update. Of course you say "No" and it then leaves the values as they are, not updating them, but not removing them either. * OpenOffice.org sees that the cell values are linked and prompts you to update. Of course you say "No" and it then deletes the cells, leaving empty cells instead of the existing values. This is why you end-up with empty cells and #DIV/0! errors. I think that the sane default here is to have OpenOffice.org keep the current values vs. delete them all, as Excel does. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
