In almost all cases the problem was in autofilters. I've noticed that on at least 1 sheet there is a strange-behaving autofilter that does not disappear when you put filter on some other sheet. And only when you manually turn on and off filter on that strange region, the file saves without errors. Xls format supports multiple non-named-database-region-connected autofilters, but OOo itself - not, it supports multiple data-region-coonected filters (as region's property). I don't know if ODF 1.0/1.1/1.2 support multiple autofilters, but saving code for xls supports it, and for ods - not. Maybe this is a way to look for? P.S.
