Would you consider at least changing this to an enhancement feature? If you look for example at how browsers, such as Firefox work, even when images are hyperlinked, you can get to the image properties with a right mouse click. As it is, I apparently get a properties menu for the image's paragraph. Since the HYP setting is the default, I found the behaviour rather non-intuitive and I could envisage a few support questions arising from this small issue.
