I am able to reproduce the bug.
With hardware acceleration selected, none of the transitions mentioned above
works correctly. If hardware acceleration is not selected, it works properly.

System:
OOo-Dev300m40 + Win XP SP2 (32bit)
Laptop HP Pavilion dv6000
Core Duo 2, 2GHz
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400. Driver ver. 86.38

Steps:
1. Create new presentation
2. Add new slide. (You have now empty 2 slides)
3. (This step is just to show the problem more clearly) Choose different
backgrounds for each slide. (Right click->slide->page setup->fill->color)
4. In slide 2. Choose "Wipe up" transition.
5. Run the slide show (from the beginning).

Result:
At the transition from the 1st slide to the 2nd. A narrow strip (about 1/10 of
slide width) on the left side of the slide is wiped bottom-up and replaced with
black color, at same time any text on the slide is shifted to the right with the
same width of that strip. When the animation is done, the 2nd slide shows up and
replaces everything.
