I recently saw another example of this, but it was also related to database. The primary problem, in my opinion, right or wrong, is that the definition says that I MUST pass a null argument to accomplish something. I can pass a NULL using Windows, but I can not do this using Linux. If the definition is changed, as it should be, then the fact that I can pass a NULL using windows (and I should not be able to) strikes me as a low priority.
