@er: sure.  First, I didn't modify the syntax itself, if that's what you're 
asking.

The newer version seems to always store the sheet name for the 1st and 2nd cell
addresses of a range.

e.g. Sheet1.A1:Sheet.B3

even if the range is on a single sheet, whereas the older version seems to allow

Sheet.A1:.B3

Without the sheet name in the 2nd address if the range is on a single sheet.

Also, the older version occasionally uses absolute address symbols '$' whereas
the newer version never seems to use them.
