The OpenOffice.org configuration creates binary cache files to speed up the startup. May be these files are corrupted. You can remove the cache files without any data loss as they will be created again on the next startup. You can find both files (org.openoffice.Office.UI.DrawImpressCommands.dat, org.openoffice.Setup.dat) in your home folder (normally .openoffice/3/user/registry/cache).
