------- Additional comments from grahamper...@openoffice.org Sat Feb 7 17:22:00 +0000 2009 ------- Question: whenever OpenOffice.org / OOo-dev / soffice seeks installed versions of Java (I *assume* that seek occurs when a version of the application is first launched; and/or that seek may occur/recur when the user clicks 'Java' in a preferences/options dialogue): a. Which paths are walked? b. Hierarchy: how deep are the walks? c. Are walks limited to the startup volume? d. _If_ an incident (say, interruption to Internet service affecting a volume mounted via AFP) affects mount and/or /Volumes _then_ might walks stall until normal service is resumed? (Those questions are worded vaguely, I'm not a developer, but I hope you get what I'm thinking.)
