------- Additional comments from ft...@openoffice.org Sun Feb 8 21:23:44 +0000 2009 ------- I import svg into Draw quite a lot, using the svg-import-1.2.2 extension. This allows me to print to my virtual svg printer (a modified virtual pdf printer) from any application, like electronic schematics drawing programs, Autocad etc. I've noticed that many time 'closed' shapes get broken in the process and attributed this to the import filter. But now I noticed that it may be caused by Draw it self! As an example I included a 'Zener.svg'. With Inkscape (or firefox) you can see it is a simple drawing. After importing this into draw it looks like 'Zener_before_save.pdf'. Save the file to 'Zener.odg' all is still well. But then closing and reopening 'Zener.odg' I get 'Zener_after_save_reopen.pdf'. Conclusion: Draw does not save this shape well, or breaks it open reopening. This problem appears on Linux as well as Windows, and using OO 2.4.1, 2.4.2, 3.0.0 and 3.0.1. A big hug for fixes this!
