One part that is not yet clear to me, is the call in SfxObjectShell::APISaveAs_Impl() to: GetMedium()->SetUpdatePickList( FALSE ) This does not seem to do anything useful, as before my patch the pick list was never updated anyway. The commit which created this line was many years ago, and only pointed to an internal issue number.
