Currently, “Each time you copy, the existing content of the clipboard is overwritten.” The only part of Word I prefer is that, if desired, one can make up to twelve (12) copies at a time, then paste them one at a time into a text document or paste all with one click. The making multiple copies issue has been brought up before: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98359 However it does not appear that the above issue is exactly my issue. About two years ago tried Open Office and promptly returned to MS Office Word. I would vastly prefer using OO, because (except for this issue) OO is considerably better. However, and this for me is an extremely large "however," there is the need to be able to constantly copy and paste, e.g., if one is doing research, much time is saved by being able to copy text and source information for later footnoting all at once, instead of having to constantly bounce back and forth between web pages and documents. More than likely many in my profession (law) and others, e.g., teachers possibly, would appreciate this expanded application.
