I have this problem in 2.4.1. In an older version, reapplying the layout to the notes page used to fix the problem temporarily (it broke again the next time the document was saved). However, in 2.4.1, reapplying the layout to the notes page makes the slide appear off the top left of the page and full size. I can drag the slide down to the page, but I cannot resize it. It appears bigger than the page and covers the notes, so there is now no useful workaround and Impress is useless to me.
