User bitdancer changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Summary|text entered directly into|text entered directly into | spreadsheet cell does not| spreadsheet cell does not | obey formatting | obey alignment default du | |ring initial text entry -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from bitdan...@openoffice.org Tue Feb 17 23:06:12 +0000 2009 ------- You are correct. If I click into another cell, the text pops to the left. Further information: if I start by clicking on the cell and typing, text appears from the right. If I then click in the edit box and delete all text and type, it appears from the right. If, on the other hand, I click on the cell and then click on the edit box and type, text appears from the left. If I then click on the cell and delete the text and type, it appears from the left. This behavior obtains whether I delete the text (via backspace) before clicking into the other edit location or after doing so. I find this behavior odd, to say the least, and I was obviously very confused by it. I've changed the summary to reflect my new understanding of the issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
