To make my point of view clear: I originally thought we might have a problem with ownerhip of Menu instances, but meanwhile, I am not convinced anymore. The current architecture is ... complex at least :), but seems to work. In any way, I don't think that changing this architecture is something which should be covered by this issue here. I just wanted to make this very clear, since I suppose the non-action on the issue might be caused by some misunderstanding on that question.
