Until OOo 3.0.1 there was an (ugly) icon displayed instead of a plugin, if you
chose Edit, Plug-in.

In OOO310_m2 no visual indication of the plugin is given. If you click the
plugin, only the selection frame becomes visible. 

While the previous solution was not the most aesthetic, the current one makes it
really hard to edit a slide, guessing where your plugin shapes were placed.
