>From what I can see, this issue started 4 years ago, isn't it about time it was
fixed. How hard can it be to modify the "optimal" parameters to zoom to the
borders of the text area instead of the page borders? How about taking this
issue at least to this level.
The original issue back in 2005 dealt with content which extended past the text
borders, and would have required the optimal zoom to have the ability to change
from page to page, which is quite another problem than fixing the zoom at the
text borders. Perhaps, the "optimal" wording should be changed to "text
borders," which would identify the resultant zoom area more clearly.
This is a confusing functional zoom problem that I'm sure many, many users are
trying to use, failing, and being forced to accommodate in their work. "Optimal"
is a generality that doesn't mean the same thing to everyone--"text borders" is
specific.
Please address this simple problem promptly, rather than letting it hang around
for another 4 years.
